About Ronald McDonald House India
Ronald McDonald House India is a Section 8 non-profit organization and the Indian chapter of the global Ronald McDonald House network. Spanning across 60 countries and regions worldwide, Ronald McDonald House’s extensive network of chapters is making a profound impact on families’ lives on a global scale for the last 51 years. Its mission is to support families whose children are undergoing treatment for serious medical conditions by providing a safe and supportive place for them to stay together during the treatment period.
Ronald McDonald House India is dedicated to providing care centres, care rooms, and care houses for families in need, both within and outside of hospitals and medical centres, completely free of charge. Our programs reduce financial, emotional, and logistical stress so families can focus entirely on their child’s recovery.
Ronald McDonald House India carries out two key programs in India; two Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms in BJ Wadia Hospital Mumbai and Government Cancer Hospital Aurangabad and a Ronald McDonald House, Mahim, Mumbai. The House offers families who travel for care a safe and supportive place to stay for extended periods, with spaces to sleep, cook, rest, and regain strength. And the Family Rooms give families within the hospital a place to step away from the clinical environment, access emotional support, and provide children with clean and hygienic play areas.
We are proud to be supported by: McDonald’s, McCain Foods, Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd., Coca-Cola, Symega Food Ingredients, Vista Foods India, Vinod Cookware, Amardeep Design, Rich food, APAC Financial Services Private Limited Somany Ceramics Ltd, among others. Together, we aim to create a network of comfort and support that helps families stay close through their most challenging moments.
