
RMHC India Family Room
RMHC India operates Ronald McDonald Family Rooms (RMFRs) to provide a haven within hospitals for families with children undergoing medical treatment. These family rooms are designed to offer a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment, offering respite from the often stressful hospital atmosphere.
Facilities at RMHC India Family Room
Located within hospitals, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide families with thoughtfully designed facilities such as comfortable seating areas to relax while waiting for medical appointments and a clean, hygienic play space for children. Families can also access counselling services for emotional support, clean bathrooms, and assistance with paperwork through dedicated volunteers. In addition, recreational features like television and DVD players are available for relaxation, along with recliner beds to support children receiving treatment.


Mumbai Family Room
RMHC India began its journey in 2016 with the inauguration of the first Ronald McDonald Family Room in Mumbai in B J Wadia Hospital for Children.
The Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital, Mumbai, established in 1929 holds the distinction of being the country’s first independent specialized Paediatrics hospital, dedicated exclusively to healthcare for children.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room an integral part of RMHC India, is housed within the Haematology-Oncology premises of B J Wadia Hospital.
Aurangabad Family Room
In 2024, RMHC India expanded its efforts to support families in need by opening the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Government Cancer Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Aurangabad.
Established in August 1960, It is one of the largest tertiary care hospitals offering comprehensive medical services to thousands of patients annually. The State Cancer Institute, founded in 2012 within the hospital premises, is Maharashtra’s only such institute devoted to cancer care.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Government Cancer Hospital is located on the first floor of the paediatric department.
